Payment app Payconiq to discontinue its service in the Netherlands from next year

Payconiq, a Luxembourg-based mobile payment company, will be discontinuing its services in the Netherlands. From January 1st, 2022, consumers in the Netherlands can no longer pay with Payconiq, Silicon Canals has learned and confirmed.

Jeroen Verrijdt, CEO of Payconiq Netherlands, has confirmed to us that Payconiq will continue to work as a technical supplier in payment processing focusing on modernising technology and developing new services.

“Payconiq will continue its current activity in Belgium and Luxembourg,” he tells Silicon Canals. Payconiq was launched in 2017 through a collaboration between ABN Amro, ASN Bank, ING, Rabobank, RegioBank, and SNS.
