The ninth edition of retailArena: A Game of the Future, which took place on October 27 and 28, in online format, broke the audience record in the IC Events platform. We gathered for two days 40 speakers, professionals from the retail, FMCG and eCommerce industries and we debated the hottest topics of the moment.
For the second year in a row, retailArena, one of the most important business conferences in Retail, took place in hybrid format: the conference was broadcast live from the Marcom Hub studio, where a limited number of speakers joined, the rest having online interventions. The event was broadcast on social channels, including the IC Events platform, a solution developed by InternetCorp.
retailArena 2021 registered 526 participants who watched the conference and explored the benefits of the virtual platform.
Those interested were able to network online, being registered almost 1,200 business card exchanges and over 520 conversations, which is a record among the virtual events conducted by InternetCorp.
Also, over 42,000 followers and over 32,000 views represent a new audience record. On the first day of the event, we talked about business strategies and marketing campaigns, and our Vimeo stream gathered over 6,000 people interested in debated topics, and Facebook brought over 10,000 followers. The second day of the event, dedicated to the online market, brought over 16,000 spectators.
“I worked a lot for this retailArena edition, the results have been felt since the live broadcast and I am glad that it is materialized in record statistics. There were two full days in which we tried to find answers to the most burning questions in the business and to bring new information about industry specialists and for the average media consumer “, said Anca Olteanu, coordinating editor of Retail.ro and co-organizer of retailArena 2021.
Topics of the 2021 edition
On the first day of the event we drew the line after a year and a half of pandemic and found out how the industry has changed, what are the future investments that some of the largest companies on the market will make and how their local plan has changed. In addition, we talked about the most popular trend: sustainability.
The second day began with a debate about the changes that offline retailers were forced to make. We discussed the digitization and automation of processes, and the specialists explained how to make work more efficient, in order to increase sales and supervise the competition. In addition, we reviewed the latest insights from couriers.
